Pokemon Delta Species Contest=Closing Date

Okay guys. Hello, hello. I am editing the Pokemon Metamorphosis Delta Species Information. All the other information below is still there, so you can look back over it. Well, classes are going to be ending on the 18 of December, and my birthday is on the 15 and mom's on the 11th. Then I will probably be visiting my dad on his birthday, the 19. So, I decided to close the contest on the 20th. I know it seems like a bit of an extension, but right now I just don't have much time until after classes and all these Birthdays. For the prizes, I probably won't be able to start on anybody's until January at least. So, sorry about going taking a lot of time, but I look forward to seeing more entries. Currently, there are only 2. More people seemed interested in the idea, and I guess that everybody must have been busy. If you are really interested in doing the contest, you can always ask for an extension. I would love to see more entries, and I understand that everybody has something else to do, since I don't have a lot of time myself. So, I have no problem in extending the deadline for small things like this. I hope to have more serious contests in the future, but for now, this is the best I can do.

Anyways, if you would like to enter, you have until the 20th or later of December. Since I don't think anybody will have time for Prizes so late in the month, because of holidays and all, I could push it to the 31st if you guys want. But due to New Year's, that's as far as I am going. Sorry. <(_ _)> Sorry about extending it out so long, I've just been really busy with everything right now.

Now, I will try to have some better things going on for us in 2012. I tried my best for 2011, but it was the year I started college, so things got a little lazy around here on my part. Remember, our 2011 Gotta Draw 'em All Contest is ending on the 31st as well. We didn't get them all done, and I don't think we will now, but it's okay, because I honestly didn't think we would. I'm actually really proud with how much we did get done though. =^.^= Thank you for everyone who worked so hard on it, I really appreciate your work. I will have an updated list of prize pools in 2012, probably the first or second week of January. I want it to be good prizes, because of all the effort everybody put in.

Delta Species

What is a delta species?
If you guys have collected Pokemon cards, you probably know what I'm talking about. My favorite one that I have is a Pelliper that is electric type on the card. A delta species is a Pokemon whose type has been altered.

What are we doing with them?
In this contest, it will be a little different than what you see in the cards. You know, my electric Pelliper still looks like a regular Pelliper, the only difference is that he is using a thunder move. Well, that's not our case here. I want you guys to pick one Pokemon to do. This is an unlimited contest. That means that it can be any Pokemon from the biggest of the legends to the smallest of the bugs. All I want you to do is alter the type of the Pokemon in some way. If it is a pure type Pokemon (a Pokemon with one type; i.e. Pikachu, Caterpie, Squirtle) then you can add on a second type or change the type in general. In fact, you could even change Pikachu from pure electric to Psychic and Flying. It's all up to you.

How do we draw them?
Okay, let's take the Pikachu for example. The trick is, changing the type, but keep it looking similar to the same Pokemon. So, in this case, we will keep the overall shape of Pikachu's body; but we want to give it a flying type plus psychic type look. So I will change Pikachu's ears to be more wing like. For psychic, I could make his cheeks look more glossy like and they can be like scanners. Maybe, instead of changing his ears, I could give him two tails that would work like propellers. (Like Tails from Sonic)

What type of art is accepted and is there a template?
TRADITIONAL ART ONLY~! No, just joking. We accept all types of art into most of our contests, this one included. So this could be traditional or digital art; each gets judged fairly in the end. Also, there is no template for this contest. Just draw/color the picture and turn it in.

Rules

You must be a member of this group to participate. Join requests are automatically approved, just join the group if you are interested in the contest.
This must be a new deviation created for this contest.
One submission per member.
Submit the deviation into the "Challenge" folder.
Choose only one Pokemon to alter the type of.
You can change as much as you want to get it to look like the type that you choose, just make sure it still looks like the Pokemon you are going for.
NO collaborations in the contest. We may have a collaboration later.
The entry must be colored.
Speaking of color, please be more creative than just changing the color of the Pokemon. For example, if you want to give Pikachu the secondary type of water, don't just color him blue. You will not win that way.
Be as creative as possible and have fun!

Entries

What should my entry include?
The main thing we are looking for in this contest is pretty much just the drawing. However, there is no bonus for this, but if you would like to add in a story on how your Pokemon's type became altered, feel free to do so.

What content is not allowed in the entries?
Well, obviously no mature content on the picture itself. I find no need for it just to alter the type of a Pokemon, so no mature content. If this rule is broken, you entry will not count in the judging portion of the contest.

When is the folder open and for how long?
I will open the folder on the 1st of November. You will have the whole month of November to work on your entry for sure. I will most likely be closing it on the 30th, but I might extend it to part of December as well.
